Thought I’d better update you all as I seem to have gone a lil quiet.
Well Bon Jovi last week was absolutely amazing. I can’t even begin to describe how great that night was. The atmosphere was electric and I even got a t-shirt! Well worth it!
Since then I’ve been here, there and pretty much everywhere that isn’t very exciting, which has mainly been down the pub perfecting my pool skills. And thanks to Alex I managed to beat Yaz, yes the unbeatable in my eyes is now a good challenger.
Now the sun is out I feel a lot more alive, have more energy and am enjoying life. As much as I love the winter, the cozy nights, the wrapping up warm, the crisp air and harsh weather, the summer seems to bring me out of myself, especially camping in the summer. The chance to travel, see the world (or the country) and meet new people is just too exciting.
Winter means home, peacefulness and family, DVD nights or reading a great book in a hot bath … but summer means friends, adventure and risk, still reading books, but reading them outside, in parks, in quiet patches or just sat outside a café. Everyone always seems a lot happier in the summer; you’re more likely to get a smile back when you pass a stranger for instance.
I have Essex Jamboree in three weeks today and I can’t wait. Camping for a whole week with thousands of people from all over the world, it’s exciting stuff!
If only summer lasted that little bit longer……
